The Pan African Youth Festival is an African Youth forum  that brings together African youth from across the continent, civil society actors, duty bearers, key strategic stake holders, the academia, youth leaders and the general public to awaken their conscious and catalyze their active engagement in the African integration processes across the entire spectrum.

The Pan African youth festival is Africa´s most inspiring youth event that celebrates, empowers, and connects the African youth innovators, conveners and breakthrough actors driving Action for the Agenda 2063/ Sustainable Development Goals and transforming lives.

The Pan-African Youth Festival is anchored on Arts, Culture, technology and conversations that offer young Africans an opportunity to engage on multiple platforms and critical issues. Participants engage in a wide range of robust activities ranging from self-organized coverings, solidarity marches, music, cultural expressions sports, road shows and community outreach.


The Pan African Youth festival provides a viable forum for public engagement in the policy debate. Policy dialogue will be deepened, gaps defined and popular input made to inform key policy recommendations.

Strategic Alliances strengthened; The Pan African Youth Festival will facilitate building of purposeful cross-border alliances and solidarities for the young African community participatory transformative change and advocacy.

Capacities enhanced; The Pan African Youth Festival will provide opportunity for cross-border skills and knowledge sharing and transfer amongst young Africans.

Advocacy The Pan African Youth Festival is committed to enhancing the youth capacities and effectiveness of social movements in driving Africa’s productive potentials towards a positive transformative continent. Effective advocacy campaigns are and have been proven to be a key tool for social movements. The Pan African Youth Festival is therefore dedicated to strengthening the advocacy capabilities of the youth participants.

Fast-tracking of African Youth Charter implementation by different youth stakeholders on the continent.

Widen strategic youth frontiers; The Festival also seeks to expand the influence of young social movements and to promote innovations for greater effectiveness. The Pan African Youth Festival will provide an opportunity for extending these initiatives.

Civic Awareness, Competence and Engagement enhanced; The ultimate objective is direct and substantive civic participation. Enhanced civic awareness and competence are a pre-requisite. The Pan African Youth Festival is a critical contribution to this end.

The UN Young Professionals Programme (YPP) is a recruitment initiative for talented, highly qualified professionals to start a career as an international civil servant with the United Nations Secretariat. It consists of an entrance examination and professional development programs once successful candidates start their career with the UN.
The YPP examination is held once a year and is open to nationals of countries participating in the annual recruitment exercise. The list of participating countries is published annually and varies from year to year.

Basic application criteria:
You must have the nationality of a participating country.
You must hold at least a first-level university degree relevant for the exam subject you are applying for.
You must be 32 or younger in the year of the examination.
You must be fluent in either English or French.

Green Entrepreneurship Accelerator Program
Virtual Participation: June 3 to Aug. 25, 2019

Qualifications: A small team of young entrepreneurs aged 17 - 35 focused in one of GGGI's member countries.
If you have a great idea to generate green growth in your community, the Global Green Growth Institute, Student Energy and Youth Climate Lab invite you to apply to participate in Greenpreneurs.

Form a small team and submit your idea for a solution that positively impacts the future of sustainable energy; water and sanitation; sustainable landscapes (forestry and agriculture); or green city development. Preference will be given to teams focused on GGGI's member countries.

Fifteen selected teams will take part in a free twelve-week virtual accelerator course with weekly learning modules that include webinars and tasks as well as coaching from mentors and subject matter experts that will support you to build your idea into a validated business plan.

The program will culminate in a business competition, for some teams winning a trip to Seoul, South Korea to visit the GGGI Head Office, small-scale project funding and conference bursaries to the International Student Energy Conference in 2021.

NNPC / Addax Tertiary Scholarship Scheme For Nigerians 2018/2019
The Addax Petroleum Development (Nigerian) Limited (APDNL) Joint Venture in pursuance of its Corporate Social Responsibility invites suitably qualified applicants for its 2018/2019 Session Tertiary Scholarship Scheme.

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for consideration, applicants MUST be:
·         Registered Full TIME undergraduates in Nigerian Tertiary Institutions
·         Certified 100 level students at the time of application (Only students admitted in 2018/2019 academic session)
·         For OND students, the award will be for 2 years only

NOTE: The following categories of students should not apply:
·         200 level students and above
·         HND students
·         Current beneficiaries of similar Awards from other Companies and Agencies
Only Indigenes of APDNL Host Communities in Rivers, Akwa Ibom and Imo States SHOULD apply for the Host Communities Merit Award.
