Multiplier Lab seeks to strengthen intermediaries (creative/cultural hubs and sector support organisations) in West Africa, enhance their capacity to engage, connect and collaborate with their peers in other parts of West Africa and the UK. Through the project, participating organisations will learn to better position their organisations for opportunities such as potential collaborations and partnerships as well as also create connections both in West Africa and the UK, with the aim to scale their organisations and better support their communities.
The programme will support organisations to increase their knowledge, capacity and confidence in:

  • their approach to organisation planning and development
  • understanding the value in their assets and intellectual property
  • influencing, building and managing partnerships
  • co-designing and co-delivering of new programmes/enterprise initiatives
COMPONENT 1: MULTIPLIER LAB

  • Webinar: This will be a 1-2 hours knowledge and experience sharing platform for the UK and West African intermediaries to ignite discussions and thoughts about exploring opportunities for collaborations prior to the UK tour.
  • Tour: A 5-day Business Exchange UK Tour for 10 West African intermediaries from the training programme. This will provide an opportunity to meet, engage and explore partnership/collaboration opportunities with UK creative intermediaries


The Programme will comprise two main components as follows:
 A 5-day capacity building programme for 25 intermediaries selected from across our West Africa cluster countries. The programme will be tailored to the needs of the local sector and include opportunities for visits and networking with local intermediaries in Lagos.

YouthHubAfrica invites young men and women to register for Women’s and girls rights defenders Training Workshop. This workshop is for women and girls right defenders in FCT and Ebonyi State. This two-day capacity building workshop will provide training for over 400 women’s and girls’ right defenders (200 in FCT and 200 in Ebonyi state) equipping them with relevant skills to better engage with traditional and religious leaders to advocate for the prevention and response to Ending Violence Against Women and Girls, Sexual and Gender-Based Violence and Harmful Practices and to promote women and girls right including Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights.

UNESCO Prize for girl's and woman's education 2020 (Award of $50,000)

Commonwealth100 Online Leadership Development Programme 2020

Apply to participate in commonwealth100- a free,crowd-sourced, experiential online leadership development programme that aims to equip a new generation of the young leaders from the commonwealth with skill relevant to the 21st century with the open-source leadership model.

Open source leadership was crowdsourced from and co-created by 1000 young leaders across the commonwealth in 2017 and identifies five key areas of development crucial for 21st-century leadership. open source leaders are Awake, Interconnected, Trustworthy, Quick, and Accessible.
The programme runs every 2 months for seven weeks and can be completed in your own time.

How Does It Work
Using an online platform, you will hear from seniors and emerging leaders who have had to lead complex change. And you will read compelling articles, which explore the skills you need to be successful in the 21st century.
